Basic Entrepreneurial Skills Development Program

This project is aimed at Existing Small Business people to help them to streamline and improve their Business Skills in order to grow their businesses.

Project Partners:

  • Kouga Municipality LED Department
  • Kouga Business Forum

Timeline:

  • Starting with interviews and selection on 3 Oct. 2016 and
  • Formal training and coaching program from November 2016 to Feb 2018

Requirements for participation:

  • Existing Micro to Small businesses employing 1 to 5 people
  • Existing small business that has a physical address– can be working from home
  • Prepared to undergo participative –one on one-coaching for 2 hour a week over a 15 month period at their workplace
  • Join and participate in the “Business Club” for the participating Emerging Entrepreneurs for peer learning and networking.
  • Areas that will be covered Humansdorp, Jeffreys Bay, St Francis Bay, Hankey Patensie
  • Prepared to undergo participative training and coaching over a 15 month period

Costs:

None – But commitment to complete the training and mentoring process and do the assignments

Remarks:

  • Only 100 candidates can accommodated at this first round of the project.  
  • Applicants will have to be willing to participate in an interview and selection process.
  • Although the course material is in English, the one to one coaching will accommodate Afrikaans and Xhosa speaking participants
